Cara is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is a member of Speech Pathology & Audiology Canada (SAC). She earned her Masters of Science from Ithaca College in New York State in 2015. 

 

Cara started her career as a communicative disorders assistant in Sault Ste. Marie before furthering her education. Since graduating from Ithaca College she has been working at One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre in Huntsville, Ontario, serving children from 0-18 years of age with a wide variety of communication needs. Cara is certified in Hanen’s More Than Words, It Takes Two to Talk, and I’m Ready (an early literacy program). In addition, she has been a clinic lead in the Fluency 202 and Motor Speech 202 pathways, as directed by the Speech and Stuttering Institute and has held a position in the Feeding and Swallowing Clinic at One Kids Place. 

 

Cara also provides virtual services and has been working primarily with voice clients and is passionate about serving the LGBTQ2S+ community with gender affirmation voice services. Cara is excited to provide voice services virtually to a greater range of individuals across northern Ontario where access is more limited. Her goal is to help individuals find and maintain an authentic voice in a safe way through exploration of a variety of voice aspects including but not limited to pitch and resonance. 

 

On a personal note, Cara is an animal lover who has a hobby farm with chickens and goats and is working towards a certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy.

Cara is registered and licensed to provide services in Ontario. She will be providing virtual services with CC SLP PC.
