Lauren Carruthers is a registered speech-language pathologist with the College of Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC). She is also a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Lauren was born and raised in Thunder Bay and completed her post-secondary education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Since graduating in 2013, Lauren began her career in the preschool program at the Grey-Bruce Health Unit in Owen Sound, Ontario. She has since worked with a variety of ages in both the public and private sectors but has primarily sought work with children under five years old. She spent time in Thunder Bay working in the preschool program at George Jeffrey Children's Centre before moving to Kelowna, British Columbia in 2016. Her clinical passions include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), phonological awareness, and parent empowerment through early language intervention.

Lauren currently lives in Fintry, BC with her husband and son. During down-time she enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing! Although she now resides in BC, she has maintained close ties to Thunder Bay and is excited to continue to serve Thunder Bay and Northwestern, Ontario.

Lauren will be providing virtual services only with CC SLP PC in Ontario. We are extremely excited to have Lauren join our team and bring her wealth of experience and knowledge to our staff!
